About the Exhibition:
Laos has become one of Asia’s fastest-growing economies, growing at an average of 7%-8% over the past decade, double the rate of 2006. Infrastructure projects (mainly including construction, water resources, electricity and energy, etc.) have become the main source of economic growth. According to statistics from the Planning and Investment Department of Vientiane, more than 800 projects are underway, including power generation, special economic zones, commercial, industrial and residential construction buildings and hotels. And hotels, shopping centres and residential projects are proliferating.
Under the framework of ASEAN integration, infrastructure development is one of the four key areas. The development of roads, power systems and other public investments will strengthen the supply of Laos’ economy and reduce overexploitation of mineral resources, leading to rapid growth of the poor population. Laos has relatively inadequate infrastructure and needs to invest in public water and health systems. With the country’s development in the new economic stage in 2017, water supply and sanitation facilities have become the focus of the government to improve the quality of citizen life.
LAOWATER’19，the first international water and sewage treatment exhibition, is a great opportunity for you to enter the water treatment industry in Laos.
