Market Introduction:
The backward public facilities in Cambodia, especially the ones of water treatment, have restricted the development and construction of the city. With the increasing demand for water supply and sewage system in Cambodia, the problem of domestic water supply and wastewater treatment is extremely urgent in recent years.
The Cambodian government has invested heavily in dams, drainage areas and pipelines to greatly improve water quality and make it more accessible to urban and rural communities. The rapid expansion and construction of major cities have promoted the demand for efficient and high-quality water supply. In addition, industrial water pollution has drawn the attention of the authorities, who have issued strict regulations on the treatment of industrial waste water.
At the beginning of 2014, Cambodia’s infrastructure construction will also usher in a new period of robust demand. Peter Brimble, senior economist at the Asian Development Bank said he was shocked by the scale of Cambodia’s railway and infrastructure projects, which is the largest in the country. Last year, the global economy was sluggish, but Cambodia’s economy as a whole was doing well. The IMF previously revised its forecast for Cambodia’s ecnomic growth rate from 6.35% to 6.5%, while the Asian development bank’s forecast for that is 6.4%.
