About the AGRENA 2019:

AGRENA is held for three days annually. After the successful holding of previous exhibitions, AGREAN has become the most prestigious and influential poultry and livestock exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa. AGRENA 2019 will be held at the Egypt International Conference Centre from 17 to 19 October. It focuses on the booming poultry and livestock industry in the Middle East and Africa, giving full attention from all angles to expanding the business scope of customers, and obtaining the most advanced technology and the best quality service. Looking back at AGRENA 2018, the overall area of the exhibition included 26,000 square meters of indoor space and 2,400 square meters of outdoor space. New breakthroughs are expected in 2019.

 

Egypt Market Overview:

Due to its strategic location in Africa, Europe and Asia, as well as its political, military and trade contacts with European powers in history, Egypt has formed its unique culture and international relations, which also gives it special geographical advantages in the process of economic globalization and regional economic integration. Livestock production in Egypt is closely related to agricultural production. Egypt does not have separate natural pastures, and the livestock industry relies mainly on private pastures, especially small-scale agricultural producers, who are the main force in the production of animal resources in Egypt. Cairo, the capital of Egypt, straddling the Nile river is the political, economic and commercial center of the entire Middle East. It is composed of whole Cairo province, urban parts of Giza province and the Klibet province, collectively known as greater Cairo. It is the largest city in Egypt and the Arab world and one of the top ten cities in the world. Since the early 1990s, Egypt’s livestock production has increased by about 37%, with red meat production rising from 315,000 tons to 895,000 tons in December 2010 and poultry production reaching 6.7 million tons in the same year. During this period, poultry production increased by 206% from the initial level 315,000 tons to 990,000 tons in 2015/2016 and egg production reached 534,000 tons. In May 2017, the Egyptian parliament passed a new Investment Law, which substantially revised the administrative procedures, including simplifying the examination and approval procedures, shortening the examination and approval time and opening the channels for complaints. One of the projects that will benefit directly from the new law is China’s cooperation with Egypt under the “One Belt And One Road” framework, focusing on the construction of Egypt’s “Suez Canal corridor economic belt”. The adoption and implementation of the new investment law will greatly enhance the attractiveness of the project to foreign investors.
