Exhibition Introduction:
ASIAWATER2020 was established in 2000 and with 20 years of development, it has become the most professional and largest water exhibition in Asia recognized by the industry (involving fields such as water purification, wastewater treatment and industrial water purification technology, etc.). ASIAWATER’s success is also guaranteed by the cooperation between UBM, a well-known European exhibition group, and AMB, Malaysia’s largest exhibition company. Each exhibition has received strong support from government departments and concern and participation from industry associations, government officials, government regulators, water supply and wastewater treatment professionals, planners, water/sanitation suppliers, facility/plant managers, engineers, developers, contractors, construction managers, plant/engineering management and industry experts. There will be a variety of large scale technology forums on environmental protection, wastewater treatment, recycling and many other topics holding in the same time and place. ASIAWATER2018 focused on the latest technologies, problems and challenges in the water treatment industry, actively advocated new technologies and concepts and created core competitive products focusing on technology, green, environmental protection and energy conservation. It is expected that in 2020, more than 1,000 enterprises including the world’s leading enterprises will participate in the exhibition, and 12,000 industrial and professional people will visit it.
Malaysia is one of the largest trading partners with China among ASEAN countries. According to the UN report, many countries’ economies depend heavily on the agricultural sector, which accounts for 60%-90% of water use. World food demand is expected to grow by 70% by 2050. As a result, increased demand for food products will lead to at least a 19 % increase in water consumption. 97% of people in rural area of undeveloped countries have no running water. 14% of the population needs surface water from a river, pond, or lake. Water issue is also closely linked to improvements in quality of life and education. 2.5 billion people in the world have no access to sanitary water, of which 70% come from Asia.
Overview of Last Exhibition:
ASIAWATER2018 had an exhibition area of more than 15,000 square meters, with more than 1,000 enterprises from 32 countries and 11 national delegations participating. Compared with 2016 session, the number of exhibitors increased by 30%. The fair attracted 19,000 visitors in 2018, increased by 15% compared with 2010 session. More than 80 Chinese companies were participating.
