Indowater is the largest and most comprehensive international water and wastewater treatment exhibition in Indonesia. It is transformed from biennial into annual session, and roving exhibition in Jakarta and Surabaya. The exhibition in Jakarta in 2017 is supported by the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Trade, the Indonesian Water Industry Association and the Indonesian Exhibition Association. The exhibition is expected to invited 550 exhibitors who come from 33 countries, more than 9000 professional tours and industry buyers will discuss the latest water and sewage treatment technology.
INDOWATER focuses on water management and water & wastewater treatment technologies. Indowater2017 Indonesia International Water Exhibition will promote the development of the water and sewage industry，and promote international exchanges and cooperation by showing the latest products and technologies to solve the problem of water and sewage in Indonesia. According to statistics, from 1990 to 2020, the domestic demand for drinking water will increase by 220%. Urban and suburban water demand is growing. Only 39% of the urban population can drink clean water, which is only 18% of Indonesia's population. To meet the government's standards, which allow 69% of the country's population to have clean water, the Indonesian government needs to invest $ 4.5 billion over the next 10 years to improve Indonesia's water treatment technology and water use.
