The way to Pakistan
Preface
“Pakistan is a country which is relatively suffering poverty and safety troubles,” When I was going to PK, friend of mine told me the above and I suddenly felt fears about it. But when I got there, I just wanted to say”That’s totally wrong! Seems everybody in here are kind to Chinese because of the Close Friendship of PK and CN. I can feel the respect and admiration from the Pakistanis.” I suddenly felt relax.
Preparation
Our company had rich experiences on taking responsibility for International Poultry Expo-2016 in Pakistan, ando also I had enough experiences on organizing sorts of exhibition. Obviously,it’s unneccessary to worry.
1. Flight
Guests were from different places, and most were transferred from Thailand to PK. We stayed in Thai for a long time, even the lunch time was contained. It’s better to serve our guests lunch meal, my boss messaged me. Then the meals were arranged in airport area by Ann’s Exhibitions International Company. Then guests could gain full energy to shopping here and I waited for others who were still on the way to Thailand. After that, we waited for taking off. The process of staying in the airport to wait taking off should be boring, in fact, we made it enjoyable.
2. Hotel
Pearl Continental Hotel can be regarded as a luxuriest hotel in PK. It is so famous that whoever local customer or international customer of guests know it even how to get to there. Moreover, president's brother chosen the banquet hall in this hotel to treat exhibitors especially Chinese guests who were participated in exhibitions. Can you imagine how luxury it is? Can you imagine how abundant selections we can choose for selection? Tasty cuisines, fresh fruits, other unknown but delicious foods.
3. Travel
Build-up day, we went to visit the Badshahi Mosque. The Badshahi Mosque is located west of Lahore Fort along the outskirts of the Walled City of Lahore. The mosque was commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in 1671, and completed in 1673, Upon completion, it became world’s largest mosque and remained so far 313 years until the expansion of Prophet’s Mosque. It remains the largest and most recent of the Mughal imperial mosques, and is the second largest mosque in Pakistan. The mosque is an important example of Mughal architecture, with an exterior that is decorated with carved red sandtone with marble inlay. The mosque was been used by Sikh Empire and the British Empire as a garrison. The mosque was is widely considered to be one of Lahore’s most iconic landmarks, and is a major tourist attraction.
Tear-down day, we came to museum to learn history of PK and India-Pakistan border to visit sundown. There were 3 blocks we had to through to get in border. It was a little troublesome. The tour guide told us generally other foreigners or lacals have to pass at least 5 blocks. Pakistanis were passionate! When we arrive there, they were chanting “Allah! Pakistan!” The atmosphere is exactly high, I could not wait to jazz! The jazz made the local tour guide moving and gave me a small flag as a sincere gift. Actually, the sundown is dubbed “the unique activity that cooerated by 2 Indo-PK” and now became a “cooperation show”, which never happened in China.
4. Show
The exhibition was held in Hall of Lahore in Pakistan, and was seperated in 2 halls. Hall 1 and Hall 2. Although the speed of building up was going slowly. But it doedn’t matter, all furnitures were settled down unitl the last day. The permission to entry of Exhibition in Pakistan is quite open, everyone can enter into it, professors, customers, even local students. Therefore, our exhibitors were very careful to talk to visitors and make sure that customers especially key customers wouldn’t be missed.
Pakistanis showed respect and admiration to us Chinese people. Seems each Pakistani wanted to come to Chinese booth and take photoes with them. Some of our exhibitors were kidding me”OMG, my eyes are going to be blind because of the huge amount of flash.” Apparently, if local person were standing a booth, then the booth would be crowded soon. Thus, Booth Weierli was continuely crowded even the booth size was only 9㎡ and two girls of four stuffs of Weierli were always kept standing. And Weierli’s lunch time was delayed after 14；00, stuff Zhuyan told me her legs became stiff since standing for such a long time. Everyone could not denied that the effect of advertising is so amazing. Everyday, sorts of customers came to visit exhibitors after show and talk until mid-night. Soocom’s agent is a wide-social local person, the booth was extremely crowded even the the booth next to Soocom was occupied by their visitors. The visitors were not professional, due to the numerous people, the exhibitors could still find their own customers.
5. Service and Support:
The number of our guests was a little bit big, so I was afraid if I can handle the team. But thanks for all of you guys to cooperrate with me during whole process. Every was kind to each other and offer mutual help. On the 1st day, one guest was hurt and needed to be sent to hospital by me. Then the dinner time was delayed until we got back to hotel, but no one made comlaints to me. So kind of you all! In the following days, we became good friends and had fun. They gave me a nickname”beauty of Pakistani”. On the show, we served additional gifts and services for our guests, luggage tag, cloth pouch, tray, cups, candies and other snacks. Wow! Awesome Ann's!
Tips:
Since the official language is not English, we’d love to give you the following suggetions. It’s better to hire a translator who can speak Chinese-English-Pakistani, and print English poster into Pakistani or illestrated with more pics since the locals are few to speak English.Please be patient to the Pakistani's speed to build up since he life speed is quite slowly in Pakistan.
They are quite respectful to Chinese! The bus we was taking was guided by 5 polices with armed polices. And we had priority to though the road unless it happened traffic jam. What’s more, president's brother arraned the best front seats to Chinese and gave each Chinese exhibitor a medal during the banquet. Only Chinese could have the right to enjoy the best service!
Catering. The flavors are more spicy and sweet, but most Chinese didn’t like it so we
don’t like it. Chinese preferred to Chinese restaurant, the foods served by it are very tasty. There was only one Chinese restaurant in Lahore, which is famous in local. The Agriculture Ministry of China had chosen it to have their meal. Our guests were satisfied with here except the foods served are a little bit spicy.
