WATER EXPO 2016 ---- the travel to the garden city

Singapore has significant effect in city cleaning, therefore it is also has the reputation of “garden city”. Even though Singapore in a small size, it still be attractive to the people of the other countries.
About Schedule:
In the afternoon of the 9th July, our two teams set out from Shanghai and Beijing, and we deputed 2 team leaders to provide services for all exhibitors during the schedule at any time. I was so honor to be one of the team leaders. Ahead of the event, we had done preparatory work calmly and orderly, we prepare a lot of things, such as a pot of hot water, tea, coffee, candy, snacks, slippers, bags, belts, stapler, port. These things above all usually are carried by our team leaders. And every time our team leaders carry things as many as possible, so that we can cope with unexpected needs. Our two flights arrived at the Terminal 1 and terminal 3 of Singapore Changi Airport separately. Our tour guide is very nice, who together with a assistant, waiting for us in the terminal 1 and terminal 3 separately. Although there is a long distance between terminal 1 and terminal 3, the action of the travel leader comfort us a lot. The part arrived early was led by our team leader to the counter for a phone card. Everyone rushed out to buy the phone card with their own passport. When you are in the foreign country, the Internet is very important for you to contact your families, deal with the work affairs. Therefore, we solve the Internet firstly. Then they can work contentedly with the Internet.
At the lively moment, our tour guide waved to us and noticed us that it is time to take the car. The bus driver had been waiting for us for a long time. It is said that Singapore is in a small size, when we experience in person, we know it is really small. It took us twenty minutes to arrive the hotel from the airport. It is surprise to us all when our tour guide noticed us that we are going to arrive the hotel. Then you can know how small Singapore. We got off the bus with our luggage orderly and checked in. The hotel is modern and in a high level. The excellent service, the spacious and comfortable room of this hotel pleasure us a lot, from the room balcony we can cover all Singapore at a glance.
About the exhibition
On 10th July, it is time to arrange the exhibition. After enjoying the breakfast, we gathered together, started off and opened the work mode. Along the road, there are all kinds of beautiful scenery, including the world's largest Ferris wheel, Merlion's Park, Durian building, The Sands Hotel and so on, all of us took many photos. Connected to the Sands Hotel, Sands International Exhibition Hall has a signature sky garden and swimming pool on the top floor, from where we can overlook the magnificent view of the city skyline. And there are museum of art and science, and shopping center where collected many famous brand. Above these things make the Sands International Exhibition Hall a famous scenic spot.
After arriving in the exhibition hall, our team leader went and got the exhibitor badges, then distributed to every exhibitor. Everyone was busying in arranging the exhibition booth, and we gathered in the appointed place. We enjoyed a hearty meal in the seafood restaurant. After the meal, we went to the Singapore coordinates—Merlion’s Park, Merlion, which is on behalf of the Singapore, spit out the strong water column. Tourists can take pictures and have a rest in the platform, shopping store and restaurant. The stands can also be turned into a stage for 100 performers. Audience sat on the ladder, back to the Bay, enjoyed the gentle breeze and the comfortable walking in the park.
Invited by the organizer, we attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition in the evening. We all looked forward to the exhibition, because the opening ceremony is famous for its high standard. We heard the melodious music, most people are dressed formally. The various equipments of the media reporters neatly arranged in the lift table. The waiters on site hold many kinds of wines to provide for the guests.
Group of singers performed on the stage, and splendid and imposing introduction area was filled with the information of the former president—Lee Kuan Yew. Suddenly a throb, Mr. Tony Tan Keng Yam appeared in the opening ceremony to cut the ribbon and made an important speech. There were so many people that we can only enjoy the president’s elegant demeanor through the screen.
On 11st July, WATER EXPO opened again grandly after two years. The pavilions were divided into two parts—ground pavilion and underground pavilion, and these pavilions were occupied with two themes: Singapore Water Expo and Singapore Solid Waste and Environmental Protection Exhibition. 830 exhibitors from over 40 countries, including 16 international pavilions and more than 20000 visitors. Collocated with the Singapore International Water Week, which was organized by the Singapore government. The Singapore International Water Week, including Water Leadership Summit, Water Resource Conference, Water Expo and Business Forum, which is a global platform for sharing and creating the innovative solutions together.
The visitor registration office are located in ground and underground hall. The ground hall is occupied by water treatment and solid waste, while the theme of the underground hall is water treatment. The exhibitors’ admission time is 9 o’clock, while the visitors’ time is 10 o’clock. The number of the Chinese exhibitors over 70, increased by 50% compared with the last Singapore Water Expo. Many famous enterprises attended the exhibition, such as Kai Hong Membrane, TIDELION, KYTOLINK GROUP, Canature Hua Yu, JHH, BONSING, SID, BENCNV, CNTY, United Engineers Limited, VEOLIA, Black & Veatch, Asahi KASEI, SIEMENS, MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC,MOYA,MWH, CH2MHILL, CDM Smith, Suez and so on. And these national pavilions are from China, Germany, Japan, Holland, the United States, Canada, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Australia. In addition, the exhibition area is up to 30000 sqm.
There are more and more people day by day, especially the time from noon to afternoon when the crowed reached the peak. Most exhibitors gained a lot from this exhibition, some even booked the booth on site. For instance, BEIJING ZHONGYUANTONG SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD, it’s the first time for this company to explore the market in Singapore on the basis of no customers. Through the survey on site, we found that the overall effect of the sewage products enterprises was better than the water purification products enterprises’. Most exhibitors intended to attend the next Water Expo, they all looked forward to the exhibition effect. The end of this exhibition means the next opening. Are you ready?
About travel
Singapore is just like a cultural melting pot, Chinese, Malays, Indians, these three races
coexist in the harmony. The local food is very famous, we enjoyed Hainanese Chicken Rice, BAK-KUT-THE, Vegetable dish, Malaysian coconut rice, The fish head curry, Chilly Pepper Crab. It is really a paradise for chowhound.
We had made arrangement for tour in a whole day. We went to the Resorts World Sentosa, which is a one-stop comprehensive entertainment city and covers an area of 49 hectares. The most famous is the Universal Studios Theme Park. Sentosa has a lot of funny projects, except the Universal Studios, among 24 recreation facilities which with different themes, there are 18 facilities were designed and modified for Singapore studios. These recreation facilities includes the world's highest two track roller coaster and the world's first Transformers 3D" motor rides. In addition, there are seven themed areas - Hollywood, New York, science fiction city, ancient Egypt, the world is lost, Distant kingdom, Madagascar. We really had a fun day, finally we end of the seven-day trip to Singapore in the wonderful night. Look forward to the reunion two years later.
Tips
1. Singapore advocates smoking ban, if you smoke in buses, theaters, cinemas, restaurants and shops with air conditioned, government offices and other no-smoking areas, you will be fined $500.
2. You should not eat chewing gum in Singapore, and you will be arrested in prison with serious cases
3. You’d better always pay attention to keep the environment clean, if you spit and litter, you may be fined up to $1000
4. In Singapore, pedestrians are required to walk the sidewalks and crosswalks, climbing over the railing will be fined for $50. If there is no pedestrian crossing within 50 meters , you should cross the road from traffic indicator lights.
5. After using the public toilets, you’d better flush actively, otherwise it is considered illegal, once convicted you will be fined, the maximum fine up to $500.
