Trip to Thailand pump & valve Exhibition in 2016
The annual Thailand pump & valve Exhibition is scheduled to be held in Bangkok, BITEC exhibition hall. I am so honor to be a trip leader of this exhibition, and I’d like to talk about the experience of this exhibition.
Before the exhibition
Our exhibitors are from the north or the south of China, thus the northern exhibitors start out from Beijing, while the southern exhibitors set out from Shanghai. And I am one of the trip leader to provide service for the exhibitors who set out from Shanghai. On the 30th May,2016, I prepared all the things for our exhibitors and gathered at the Pudong airport with everyone, then start our trip to Bangkok. At 6 pm local time, the two teams were in the Bangkok Airport. Because there is a exhibitor made his decision to carry out the trip before several days ago, he can only got visas on arrival. This is a convenience that the Thailand provide for us---we can get the visas on arrival. Though it is very convenient for us, it still takes a long time because there are too many people queuing for the visas. Therefore, I decided to let others go first, one of her colleagues and I waited for her. It took her 2 hours to get the visas, then we met up with others.
After the seafood as the dinner, we went back to the hotel to have a rest. Our hotel is five-star-class, which is located in the city center equipped with spacious room, bathroom, comfortable bed, the central air conditioning. It is very comfortable for us to have a good rest.
During the exhibition
31st May,2016, when is the time for us to construct the booth. Our two colleagues got to the hall one day ahead of schedule to get the hall entering permits. In order to provide convenience for our exhibitors, we had opened the registration area for the Chinese exhibitors. As a result, our Chinese exhibitors got the hall entering permit in order. Our integral construction had already completed, so the exhibitors only need to decorate their booth. Everything is OK, except that the air conditioning was not opened, and we all joked that it is as comfortable as a sauna.
Many national delegation attended the exhibition, they are from China, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Germany, Israel, Taiwan. Chinese domestic companies which attended this exhibition, including Hefei Hengda Jianghai Pump Co., Ltd, Yuanda Value Group Co., Ltd, Csi new energy holding Co., Ltd, Afcon Ningjin Yahua Industries Co., Ltd and so on.
1st,June, it is the national children’s day. Happy children’s day to all the children. And our exhibition opened officially. We all dressed the uniform to enter the arena. The opening ceremony was from 9:00 to 10:00. Thailand energy minister came to the scene to cut the ribbon and after the ceremony he talked with the exhibitors friendly. Especially he came to our Chinese exhibition booth to talk with our exhibitors. Because of the opening ceremony, our visitors entered the hall a little late, which gave our exhibitors more time to prepare better. The exhibition last for 4 days. During the early 3days, the exhibition only opened for the professional visitors. It is very good for our exhibitors to meet so many target visitors. At noon the audience began to increase slowly.
Our company prepared many local phone card, hot water, candy and fruits, and also specially prepared Chinese tea, coffee for everyone to work with full spirit.
On the second day and third day, the audience was significantly more than the first day. We also started a further communication with our visitors. Some exhibitors invite their potential customers to come to the exhibition site. Some exhibitors invite their regular customers, who cooperate for many years but never meet with each other, to the exhibition site. Through this exhibition, the exhibitors and customers trust and cooperate with each other further. Some exhibitors got orders directly from the exhibition site. Some exhibitors invited customers to have a visit. Everyone benefit a lot from the exhibition. A valve company in Hebei not only received orders on the exhibition site, but also booked a booth in 2017.
4th June—the last day of the exhibition, and the day is weekend. We all thought it would has no visitors as the same as the domestic exhibition, but it is not the case. Our exhibitors are still very busy. Even though it’s the time to close the hall, our exhibitors are still very busy and are not willing to leave. Our exhibitors’ exhibits are basically sold out at the site. The exhibitors gave us the feedback that the exhibition was very successful and they all benefitted from the exhibition. They decided to continue to attend the next exhibition. As long as our exhibitors could benefit from the exhibition, our efforts are worth it. Expect us to get together again next year.
Travel

The Grand Palace (Palace Grand) is also known as the Royal Palace or the Imperial Palace. Next to the Menam River is a large-scale ancient buildings (28) in the central Bangkok, with a total area of 218400 square meters. The Grand Palace was built modeled the old Palace of the ancient capital city, experienced the continued expansion of monarchs of past dynasties , and was finally completed and became the grand palace buildings with so grand scale. The Grand Palace is one of the many royal palace in Thailand, and it is the best preserved ancient palace with the largest scale and national characteristics.
After enjoying the beauty of The Grand Palace, we came to the Mae Nam River by cruise ship. There are delicious buffet on board and the beautiful song. The people on the cruise mostly are Chinese. We all sang and danced together with a good mood.
After the Grand Palace and the Mae Nam River, we enjoyed the Lady Boy Show, which is arranged by us specially. They are really as beautiful and graceful as women, except their sound. Although they are all very glamorous on the stage, we still can’t help sympathizing with them. Most of them are forced by life to become a transgender to support their family. And they must keep taking the injections of hormones to maintain youth. It is really a torment. What’s worse, their life will become shorter. How tough life is!
The short trip is over and we all gain a lot from it. The time of breakup is destined to meet next time. See you again in Thailand next year.
Little Tip
1、 We can get the visa on arrival in Thailand, but it will take at least two or three hours before finishing. Therefore, we suggest that you’d better get the visa in advance so that you will not delay the trip.
2、 You‘d better go to Thailand with a Thai translator, because the most local people in Thailand speak in Thai, and only a little part understand the English.
3、 Thailand diet tastes mainly are acid, sweet and spicy. Therefore, please don’t worry, it is acceptable.
4、 Remember to prepare tips, because the service provided by the local people is good and sincere. And they also rely on tips to fill the shortage of wages.
5、 The durian, mangos tan and mango in Thailand are very delicious. It will be pleasant for you to taste them.
